Still Texas. Almost Florida.

Our big trip to Orlando, Florida was coming up. We the Trent exchange students got out at lunch the day before our departure day and drove to Dallas where we had a hotel for the night. Chantal rode with us and in dallas we met the other exchange kids. For supper we went to La casa di Beppo an old italian restaurant with pictures everywhere and popes in boxes =P. Back at the hotel we met together in one room and talked a lot. Everybody was excited. The next day we had to get up at 4 in the morning to catch the airport shuttle who dropped us of at the gate at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. We had a first flight at 7:30 from Dallas to Atlanta, Georgia. And a second one at 12:00 from Georgia to Orlando Florida. Finally Florida

Not so sunny Sunshine State.

We then caught a  Magical Express that drove us to our Resort Hotel New Orleans Riverside in Walt Disney World Orlando Florida. Finally there we were waiting on all the other exchange kids from Texas, New Mexico and Utah and we had a meeting in the Hotel's Restaurant. We then went and checked out our rooms and it was just amazing. Later that day, my family and I went to Downtown disney.

Meeting Mickey Mouse.

The first morning we got up extra early and went to Magic Kingdom to watch the opening ceremony and later have a guided Y.E.S. program tour. It was an educational tour in small groups that explained some scientific parts of the park and even revealed some secrets about the Haunted mansion. Later then we were aloud to do whatever we wanted and so all the Trent kids went together. We participated in a Let's Move Parade. Had Lunch in Stitch's house in the future world and rode all the awesome roller coasters. Then it started pouring rain so bad that nobody was out in the streets anymore. But since it was just wet, not cold some of us decided to just walk through the rain. We were soaking wet but at least didn't had to stand in any lines for games. Later that day then, it started to get freezing because we were wet so my friend India and I decided to go buy some warm hoodies to put on. After that we then took the Monorail to Epcot to watch the daily fireworks and ride some rides. It was an awesome first day.

Sunshine greets us.

Finally. The sun came out. In the morning all the 188 students had breakfast at Rain Forest Cafe in Animal Kingdom. They prepared a buffet for us. It was awesome. So we stayed the morning in Animal Kingdom, rode on Mount Everest, participated in a Safari. Yes Disney World has a zoo, and had a lot a lot of fun. In the afternoon we then went to Hollywood studios which has the best rides. Rock n Roller coaster and Tower of terror just to name a few. In the evening, India, Kaja and me then returned to go watch the Dream Lights parade and fireworks in Magic Kingdom.
